Luka Primary School is celebrating its 50th anniversary and, to mark the occasion, is organising a STEM DAY for all its pupils, to be held on Saturday, 29 November 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at Ul. Otona Ivekovića 16, 10360 Sesvete, and will be just the right place for children to discover the wonders of STEM through fun and creativity!
STEM workshops for pupils: cryptography, robotics and digital technologies
As part of the “STEMerica moves on” project, the FabLab associationbrings interactive workshops that let pupils dive into exciting STEM activities and learn a range of skills through play and curiosity.
Through exciting cryptography tasks, pupils will learn how to encrypt and decrypt messages while exploring the history of encryption and its real-world applications. In the robotics and digital technology workshops, pupils will get to know the basics of robotics and programming through hands-on tasks, developing their technical skills and creative thinking. In addition, FabLab will also provide some fun - children will be able to play a guitar made from recycled materials, encouraging creativity and environmental awareness.
About the “STEMerica moves on” project
The FabLab project “STEMerica moves on” is being implemented under the call Strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations to promote STEM, co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus and supported by the Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. This project provides free workshops, educational materials and expert guidance, giving pupils the chance to learn creatively in STEM fields.
