Have you ever wondered what lies beyond the limits of what our eyes can see?
The world around us is full of invisible phenomena, secrets and microscopic wonders waiting to be discovered. From light rays refracting in the dark to crystals that hold the records of the Earth's past – science allows us to peek into the hidden layers of reality and understand how it all works.
That is why we invite you to join us on Thursday, 30 October 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., when the Research Hub Zagreb opens its doors to all curious explorers – children, parents, pupils and everyone who wants to learn through play, experiment and experience!
An exciting journey awaits you through three interactive stations that combine science and imagination, reveal the invisible and prove that learning can be a real research adventure.
Address:
📍 Research Hub, Zagreb - Lovinčićeva ulica 1, Zagreb
Join us at the Open Day and become a researcher for a day!
Three interactive stations await you that will awaken curiosity and delight explorers young and old:
✨ Dark room – discover colours and light phenomena invisible to the eye
🪨 Collection of rocks, minerals and fossils – get to know the richness of the geological world
🔬 The microscopic world – peek into the world hidden beneath the surface
The Research Hub Open Day is part of a STEM programme for children, implemented as part of the “STEMerica moves on” project of the FabLab Hrvatska association.
The STEMerica moves on project is a three-year initiative dedicated to popularising science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) among children and young people across Croatia.
Through workshops and public events in ten Croatian counties, FabLab encourages curiosity, innovation and hands-on learning.
Find out more about the project at stemerica.fablab.hr, and follow the activities via the Facebook pages “STEMerica moves on” and “FabLab Hrvatska”.
The “STEMerica moves on” project is implemented under the call “Strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations to promote STEM”, with co-financing from the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus and the support of the Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
