On Saturday, 13 June 2026, the FabLab association took part in the STEM FEST(IVAL) held at the Community Hall of the Municipality of Donji Andrijevci, where it presented visitors with interesting and interactive STEM activities through the „STEMerica moves on“ project.

During the event we held workshops on building with construction blocks and on digital technologies, which drew a large number of children eager to explore, create and learn through hands-on work.

At the construction blocks workshop, the children developed creativity, spatial thinking and problem-solving skills through play and teamwork. Building various models and structures, they explored the basic principles of engineering and structural design and showed how imagination and cooperation can result in impressive constructions.

The digital technologies workshop attracted just as much interest. Through interactive activities, participants had the chance to get to know modern technological concepts, develop logical thinking and explore the ways technology shapes everyday life. The workshop sparked curiosity and an interest in the STEM fields and showed how learning about technology can be fun and inspiring.

Alongside numerous 3D-printed models, prototypes and innovative projects, children and adults alike could explore how new technologies are applied in education, science and everyday life.

Throughout the event there was a great atmosphere filled with laughter, exploration and creative challenges. The children took an active part in all the activities, asked questions, tried out new solutions and gained new knowledge through experiential learning. 🙂

The „STEMerica moves on“ project is run by the FabLab association with the aim of popularising the STEM fields among children and young people through workshops, public events and experiential learning.
